Was the new upgrade / update announced? All of the sudden the screens, colors, etc changed! I had no idea what to do and am having difficulty manuevering. I have a Droid 2 - is there an updated manual somewhere online I can look at? Icons I was using and used to are now gone (battery level for one) - Did I miss the announcement? This was poorly handled in my opinion!

Its very frustrating to learn a new operating system right away. The device should've notified you of the software update. But I can resolve this right away. Here's a link that will take to you Motorola website with the gingerbread user manual.

There are no announcements directly.
in fact, the rumor mill sites didn't have a lot of talk about this update for the Droid 2. I did see that the rumor mill sites have said that the D2 Global's GB update has been pulled back. Something about a problem with security with Corporate Sync.
