Verizon is sending out a new update for the Droid 2 Global. System update 4.5.629.A956...
Update didn't add anything useful. One new change, Droid is enabled with the Wireless Alerting System.
Now every time my Droid Global gets within range of Wireless devices it emits a ping notice. No way to stop this annoying new function without disabeling Wireless on my phone.
Who's the imbicile that thought this was usefull? Seriously why would I want my phone to make a pinging noise, especially if I drive past six different wifi hotspots in a one block radius?
