I just got my droid and i have two questions.  1.  I moved pictures from my old phone to my pics place.  How do i retrieve them to put them on my droid?  2.  Is there a way to download movies and then place them on the droid to be watched later much like can be done on the iphone or itouch?

for #1 - not sure what 'pics place' is.  Someone will, though.

for #2 - an app called "DVD Catalyst" works great to convert movies into the format the Droid can play.  It will also convert videos taken on the Droid to something playable on the computer, although the video and audio get out of sync with that conversion.  I may be doing something wrong, though.  Have to look into it more.

DVD Catalyst is not a Droid app but a program you run on a PC to convert movies to the Droid format.

Link to DVD Catalyst

If you mean moving them from the computer to the Droid.  Mount the Droid to your computer and create a folder on the SD card. Label it pictures? and drag your photos into the folder.

Or in the DCM file you will see camera, you can put them there, I did.

For 1. I just dont understand what u said...

For 2. .MP4 is the Motorola Droid-friendly format. So, the key-point is converting download videos to MP4. after that, just copy the converted files to SD card of droid. As for mine, im used using this android video converter to convert various video to MP4 for droid, it is already optimized for output setting for android phone, easy-to-use.

WinFF at http://winff.org/html_new/ is open source (free) and has specific settings for Android, and will run on Windows or Linux (and I presume Mac, athought I neither know, or care)
