Everytime I go to my text messaging page, I get a notification that says "text message not sent" when I haven't send a text message. It says it everytime I go on it now. I have deleted all of my message & it still says it. I click on the notification and it says "message not available" How can I stop getting the notification... It is driving me crazy.

I ended up calling Verizon and they walked me through the steps to reset my phone. They were very helpful when I called.
You need to remember your gmail login and password so all your contact information. Every this I did this the rest to my phone it has not had any issues.
Hope they can help you too.

I have tried clearing all the messages, and clearing the cache, turned my phone off & then on, I took out the battery for a few minutes, I have called the *228 number, I even tried to force it to stop...
nothing has worked.

Thank you jillq for responding with your experience. Usually when this message pops up, you would long press the message thread, select delete to resolve it. If you have cleared out your message box and still getting the error message, doing a master reset will often resolve it right away.
You can reset your phone by doing the following: from the home screen, press menu--> Settings --> Privacy --> Factory data reset. This will erase all data from your phone including your email set up and downloaded apps but will be restored once you enter your gmail user name/password.

Gina,
is that really the only way is to reset your phone back to brand new?? I can not do that as my phone is my business. Is there another way to remove the text message not sent notification??

Hey everyone! I came here for a different issue but noticed this thread and decided to post my fix for this problem.
I have a Motorola Droid 2 Global, and I kept getting this error also. I was using the stock text messaging app and it was driving me crazy to keep getting this message and not be able to clear it.
Here's how to fix it WITHOUT factory resetting your phone:
1 - Open up the android market
2 - Search for "handcent"and download/install it (I think it comes up as Handcent SMS)
3 - Once handcent is installed, open it, click the menu button on your phone, then click more, select undelivered, and you should be able to X out of the undelivered message. On my phone it came up blank everytime so I wasn't able to see what message wasn't able to send, however, it did get rid of the pesky notification. You can simply uninstall handcent after you delete the message.
Hope this helps! I cannot believe that Verizon/Motorola hasn't offered a solution without telling people to factory reset their phones.
