This morning I was texting a friend back and forth when I noticed the top left of the screen had numbers associated with sending messages via FB (for example 342243). I sent the text, then looked at my message icon, it showed I had indeed sent the text to the person I was chatting with. Well, a couple hours ago,,,,,a long lost friend from FB sent me a private message through FB, It read "um.....did you mean to send me this message"? I replied, "what message"? Her reply told me word for word what I THOUGHT I was TEXTING to my friend earlier in the day. I apologized for her being sent a message not in the slightest related to or for her.
This is the 2nd time this has happened, the last time was about 3 weeks ago. To my knowledge, these were the only two times.
Has this happened to anyone else?? Please let me know if it has, and what i need to do to fix the issue.

Hey....This happened to me before also.I don't know why it does that
But now, my text messaging completely stopped. Im not able to receive nor send any text messages.

This sounds like the SMS bug that some android phones suffer from. Google is aware of it and working (or may have even found) a fix, but no telling when it may be pushed to all phones. The only suggestion I have heard to avoid this if it happens is to install a third-party SMS app from the market, Handcent and Chomp are two of the most popular. I personally use Handcent and really like it. Just remember, if you do go with a third-party app, to turn off notifications on the native app. This can be done from the settings menu within the app itself.
