Text sounds

I want to use different text sound instead of the factory ones.  I tried to download a differnt sound but it will not let me save it to the notifications.  Can someone please help me out

If the sound is saved to your sd card, try this.

On the sd card create a folder with the following path /media/audio/notifications

Move the sound there. Reboot the phone and the sound should be in the list of notification sounds.

You probably have to have the phone mounted as a disc drive on a computer to do this.
