My brother got the Incredible and I have to say that it's anything but that. His reception is very poor. Bluetooth drops in and out. Battery life is worse than what I have on my Eris. Live wallpapers are a battery sponge. At this point I'm not all that impressed with it but hopefully they'll iron out some bugs.
Luckily he doesn't have the reboot problem. With the other bugs people are reporting my Eris is more solid for sure. I guess newer isn't always better.
Just glad he tried it before me. So I guess be thankful for what you have and be careful what you wish for..lol.

I was very seriously considering using my daughters line to get a Incredible for myself and give my Eris to her, but based upon what you and many others are reporting I am glad I haven't done so. Put 2.1 leak 3 on my Eris last week and couldn't be happier.

I dont get it, myself and many other forum users are getting OK battery life. I was at 1d 7hrs (with 25% remaining) when I plugged in Monday morning for a fresh charge. I was at 18hrs (with 35% left) when I plugged in this morning on my way to work.
It's not the Incredible in most conditions, its either 1) configuration 2) bad apps.
Needless to say, I have most stock optios still set (GPS on, Mobile ON, WiFi ON... Bluetooth OFF)
I use the phone alot too, MP3s and other mostly goofy stuff (Web, Gmail, etc).
I get a few FCs with HTC apps, but nothing else really bad.

So far mine works wonderfully. Certainly lives up to its name. I will get an extended battery as soon as an officially supported one comes out (won't void my warranty if it kills my phone). I don't quite get a full day out of it. Probably will when I settle in to a normal routine instead of the normal new phone insane playing and fiddling.
My reception is fine. It may not peak as high as my Droid did but it is a far more stable signal. Usually ends up with much better usage out of it that way. It doesn't reboot itself, and most of the other issues I haven't had.
