I have tried to activate this phone in all the normal way's - which must not be normal. Even called *611 to activate it. Can you not talk to a human there. Right now I set with two of these things that I can't even use as they will not activate. Following instructions on the screen was totally useless. Following the Activation guide was even less help - about ready to send them back and just use my unsmart phone which has worked just great.

When you call *228 what occurs?? (That is the number called when you hit the activation button)  When using that method, if there is an issue, CS will normally join the call. What do you get??

 

Also, if upgrading from another phone, be sure that device is powered down.

What's funny there is if I power down my old phone that I am replacing I can't call *228 on my new phone. It will just come back and say there is no connection.

Are you attempting to dial *228 or just pressing the activation button???

You  may want to try online. Log in to your online account, Click on the HOME tab and choose ACTIVATE A DEVICE under the DEVICE column.

or just run in to a store. it'll take 5 minutes and they'll activate it for you.

If you can call from a different phone . Not the old phone and not the New phone. If not You can active the new phone by dialing *228 It will call them I promise it is a open conection to Verizon. They leave the new phone open but only directly to them and only by dialing *228 . Hope that helps .:smileyhappy:
