This post isn't a question, answer or other information, but something too good not to share. A friend sent this to me. Sharing it with his permission:
Are you ready for the best story ever? Okay... It isn't the best ever, but it is a huge victory for me. For Android.
I told you that (his wife) got the iPhone. She didn't do anything with it this morning except load her music on there. Well... today at lunch, she started asking me where all her stuff was. She knew it wouldn't be the exactly the same, but she expected it to have stuff that was kinda like it. Widgets, message apps, and all the other stuff she enjoyed. Direct dials too.
I had to tell her that she gave all that up when she left the Android behind. She seemed like she didn't care that much. Turns out, she was trying to hide the fact that I was right about it. And, that she should have listened to someone that has had both types. When I called her right after I got off work, she asked if we could go get an Android phone instead. I was so happy. Made me feel good to be right.
This also proves another point. IPhone users only like the iPhone because they have it. They had it first and they don't know any better. Android people feel so lost on an iPhone. So tied down. She hated everything about it. I'm so happy. She got your phone. The Droid X. She is happy now.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Thankfully my girlfriend got an Android phone to replace a flip phone from the early 2000s and loves it. Even though she probably wouldn't ever consider the iPhone anyway because her dad worked for Microsoft and drilled "Apple is bad" into her head from a young age >_>

I told a buddy of mine at work that the reason he loved his iphone so much was because he didn't know any better. He took it as me calling him stupid.
He had the original iphone and claimed that he didn't care that it couldn't cut/paste, mms, record video, no camera flash, etc.
As soon as those options were available he started using them and saying how cool it was.
Most people who like the iphone like the fact that it's very simple to use, no learning curve at all, you turn it on and start pressing icons. My first smartphone was the Treo 700P, there is no way the iphone would be good enough for me.
