Does anyone out there have trouble with the touch screen on the Droid X. Only works good about half the time or less. Do I have a bad phone or is this normal. By the way it has the latest update available on it and it is only about 2 month's old and has been this way from the beginning.

What do you mean your touch screen is going bad? Is it not registering your clicks correctly?
Sometimes applications can cause problems with the interface of your phone. Do you have any task killers or anti-virus applications?

You didn't specify what the problem was... describe the problem.

The touch sreen doesn't respond. When I try to unlock the screen to answer a call or even just to navigate my way around the phone it doesn't respond to my touch.

I take it that you can not unlock your screen. Is this correct? Before you do a factory reset, where you lose everything, try pulling your battery. Wait about 10 seconds and replace it. If this doesn't work, and I give it a 50/50 chance, you might have to take it to your Verizon store.

When was the last time you removed your battery?

I know that if my phone or my hands are cold my touch screen on the Droid X and my husband's Droid 2 will not read my gestures. Once the phone and/or my hands warm up I have no problems.

The only calibration I see under location/security is for compass calibraton. I don't see any touchscreen calibration.
