The touchscreen on my Droid 2 has just started becoming unresponsive when I pull out the keyboard. There hasn't been any changes to it and it has worked fine up until now. I turned it off and pulled the battery, but it still doesn't work. It works fine when the phone is closed. Anyone know how to fix this annoying problem??

Have you installed anything new because I seen a few apps that has a option to not respond to a hard keyboard. Also have you tried safe mode to exclude apps as the issue?
1. Power phone off
2. Slide keyboard open
3. Press and hold Power+Menu button (on keyboard) until "Droid 2 Eye" comes up
4. Phone should say "Safe Mode" in the bottom left hand corner

I tried, but now the touch screen is completely unresponsive and I can't unlock the screen to even get into the phone...

Hmmmm. Looks like its time to contact CS for a replacement because it sounds like you may have a hardware issue.
