Transferring Music to SD Card

I have a question about how to load music onto my Droid X SD Card.  Do I have to use the USB cable to do this or can I insert the phone SD Card directly into the computer and copy the music that way.  Thanks.

Either way should work just fine.  If you go the USB route, you have to make sure the phone is in mass storage mode to drag & drop files of any kind.

I did it with the desktop cradle and put all of the music files in a folder called "Music".

thanks i will give it a try as soon as i get home from work. the cool thing is i'm doing this completely from my droid x using voice commands only and not typing anything. life should be a this easy!

I went the SD card in computer route.  Copied the entire music folder off the computer to the SD card.  Powered up phone and all the music was there automatically.  Couldn't have been easier.  Thanks again.
