OK Here goes, I have a Droid x Love it.
I have a computer Love it more...... I have loaded 2178 songs on my computers hd and I am trying to get them to sync to my phone. However I plug in the USB port to the phone and then use the Windows media player. It works for about 3 songs then it locks up and I have to reset it. I have tried to use media share and the steps walk you thru it great but after a few transferes it also locks up. I need to know the correct way to hook my phone up to my computer and copy these songs over to the sd card. Also some of the songs that are on the SD card are not in the playlist and some of the songs will not support file. But all the songs are MP3. what am I doing wrong..... Grrr !!!!!!

That's the reason I hate WMP for transfering songs.
I simply open the source folder and my SDcard/music folder then select the songs I want to transfer then drag n' drop them over. Much easier tbh. Then you don't have to worry about Media Player trying to authenticate or covert the files.
