My wife's new Droid Charge automatically mounts when connected to a computer. Is there any way to disable this? I remember this used to happen on my own Droid a while back with Winamp, but she doesn't have that installed. I was going through all the settings of the apps that came with the phone and didn't see any options to disable.
This can be quite annoying when a person just wants to charge their Charge via USB without mounting/unmounting storage.

I don't know that there is a satisfactory solution to your issue. However, the available setting for USB connection can be accessed by pressing the Menu button (lower left of phone), then select Settings/USB Settings. That setting will be greyed out if the USB cable is plugged into the phone.
The available setting for USB connection are Media player, Mass storage and Ask on connection. There is no setting for do nothing. I have mine set to Mass storage because I use the USB cable only to connect to my computer for moving files (I have a desk dock for charging).
Hope this helps.

I understand why this issue would be annoying. I would suggest following WCMack's steps and changing the USB settings to "Ask on connection". Let us know if that works for you.

Yeah, it looks like setting it to "Ask on Connection" is the best solution. Unfortunately, it still isn't the way the default Android OS handles it. But it's close enough I suppose.

Yes, it is annoying indeed.
"Do Nothing" would seem like an obvious choice in that drop-down list. I wonder why it was left out.
