Why on earth would Windows Mobile device center recognize your Android phone?

Took me a long time to figure this one out...

Look at the top of the fone screen tool bar. You will see the USB connection symbol.

1. Slide down the toolbar screen.

2. Tap the USB tab

3. You will be given 4 (four) choices;

     a. PC Mode

     b. Windows Media Sync

     c. USB Mass Storage

     d. Charge Only

Select "b." Windows Media Sync, Windows and other Music Services will then recognize your device.

That's not the same as Windows Mobile device center.

WM device center is formally known as active sync. It's for your Windows Mobile devices. I used it for my Omnia, it will not connect to another mobile OS.
