USB Connection Problems

My Windows Mobile Device Center doesn't recognize my Droid 2 when I connect it via a usb port. What am I doing wrong?

Why on earth would Windows Mobile device center recognize your Android phone?

mine was recognized for about 15 seconds but then it stopped and i had to restart my computer and now it never shows up so i can sync my phone with my music pics on my computer. Did you ever figure it out?

Took me a long time to figure this one out...
Look at the top of the fone screen tool bar. You will see the USB connection symbol.
1. Slide down the toolbar screen.
2. Tap the USB tab
3. You will be given 4 (four) choices;
a. PC Mode
b. Windows Media Sync
c. USB Mass Storage
d. Charge Only
Select "b." Windows Media Sync, Windows and other Music Services will then recognize your device.

That's not the same as Windows Mobile device center.
WM device center is formally known as active sync. It's for your Windows Mobile devices. I used it for my Omnia, it will not connect to another mobile OS.
