Hi,
I have had a Droid X for about 10 months now. I had it paired with the JVC unit in my BMW so that I could talk through bluetooth and it would alert me when i received a txt message.
I have now paired my Droid X with the Uconnect in a 2011 chrysler which has the 730N RER series head unit. the phone book, and calling work perfectly, however the text message voice read out capability of the system does not operate or even show up with the DroidX. The system does not even play or show a notification when a message is received.
From what I've researched this is an "unsupported" feature with the phone from Uconnect. Is there anyway around this via an update on the phone, update from Dodge/Chrysler, or a settings change to at least beep when i get a txt message?
