Unable to get the Mini to open

as soon as I lock the phone, I can't get it to unlock.  It just displays a black screen.  And it takes some freaking trick I've yet to master to make it restart so I can get in again. 

I HATE THIS PHONE!!!!

The black screen is the notification screen that appears when  you swipe  up and down, and it can overlay  the lock screen. To unlock, make sure you swipe to  the right.

To stop the Tricks do as dimap52 suggested then once you get the screen to pop up And then unlocked go into the Settings and disable the Lock the screen Feature] do this at least until you get use to it  It can take some time but once you do it won't be so bad..

I've swiped to the right from every part of that phone.  As of right now, I can't get what you are calling a notification screen to go away.  And now I can't seem to get it to actually shut down and stay shut down.  I hold the power button down and it goes black but then it just boots up again.  I'm so sick of hearing that stupid "DROID" sound at this point I just want to twist the phone in half every time it freaking vibrates and makes that sound.  I just want it turned off and to stay off.  I get on a plane tomorrow and I can't shut my phone off?  Heck, I can't even answer my phone right now - all i can do is silence it by hitting the power button when it rings because it doesn't even give me an option to answer it.

Well Sandy I feel your Frustration I wished I was there to Help ya diagnose the issue you Might try this Hold the in on the Power button till the phone shuts down then let off that button the phone may come back on but hopefully it will reset itself from there you may able to do something with it) If you can't get it straiten out sandy take to were you bought and have one of the Reps see if they can help ya..
