Unidentifiable icon/symbol

So there is a symbol showing on my coworkers Droid X that I don't recognize, and I was wondering if someone knows what it means. It is two arrows going in a circle?

Sync icon.  Something; email, social app, etc. is being synced.

It will show up mostly when powering up for the first Time or if you have allot of emails.  Mine shows it periodically but if i am receiving allot of emails it will stay on for bit.

it'll stay on 'til all the email is pulled in for my pop3 account.
