Others may have already posted this but I discovered yesterday that the two-finger zoom capability of the capacitive is screen is not disabled at all, it's just not used by the present UI as it exists now.
The "Wheatstone" GSM version for Germany that has been written about seems to be no different than the version we have in terms of this feature.
I'm guessing that this feature is down-played here in the States possibly due to potential patent-infringement action by Apple.
Maybe those that are using the Android 2.0 SDK can comment on this.
Anyway, the beta version of "PhoneMyPC" which is available from the Android Market for downloading is using this.
It's a great alternative to 'Remote desktop' apps for those needing remote capabilities to their PC's.
