Unplug your charger from the outlet to conserve energy

We have a DROID2 that keeps saying "Disconnected unplug your charger from the outlet to conserve energy". It mainly happens on the car charger. After it gives the message on the screen, you can't get rid of it. How can I get rid of it without having to restart the phone each time? I have seen some posts about it, but it has been with the DRIOD X and the USB charger.

Any ideas on how to get rid of this message?

Yours stays on the screen? That's odd. Mine just fades away.

Have you tried tapping either the home button or the return button? This only happens to me when I use my wall charger, but normally fades away.

Like the others, mine pops up and then fades away.  Maybe try restoring your phone to factory defaults to fix this. Just make sure you have contacts, etc. backed up first as they will be deleted.

My DroidX does the same thing. I think I have it narrowed down, though: It only seems to happen when I unplug the charger and do not unlock the screen for a few minutes. Usually I unplug it and immediately unlock the screen to check my messages. Occasionally I unplug the phone, put it in my pocket, and go, with the intention of checking later. Incidentally, while the "disconnected" box is on the screen, the screen stays on, instead of turning off in 30 seconds like it is set for. So far, the only way to make the box go away is to turn the phone off and on again. Is there a way to disable this popup?

Please help!

Bump! Same problem on my Razr. Thought it might be Juice Defender, but I uninstalled it.
