Last night an update uploaded to my phone and now my battery is not lasting even one day! Why is this happening and how can I stop it?

If you talking about the GB update from Froyo, I had the same problem UNTIL I went into recovery mode and cleared the cache.

Mattson, to enable safe mode, you can follow the directions below:

  1. Press and hold the Power button.
  2. Select Power off.
  3. Slide the keyboard open.

  4. Press the Power button.

  5. Press and hold the OK key.

  6. Continue to hold the OK key until Safe mode appears in the lower-left of the unlock screen.
This may take up to 30 seconds.

I also wanted to list the steps to clear your cache:

  1. From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).

  2. Touch Browser.

  3. Touch Menu.

  4. Touch More.

  5. Touch Settings.

To clear cache:

  1. From the Privacy settings section, touch Clear cache Note Visited website content stored on the device. The cache enables the browser to download only the content that has changed since the last time a website was visited. Since the browser only downloads changed content, pages are loaded faster.
  2. Touch OK.

OMG! My is doing the exact same thing. I hate it. And are you having problems with downloading the apps? I cannot download any apps! SO SO SO annoying. I am about over Verizon and have been a happy customer for 12+ years..
