I recently tried to upgrade the My Verizon app but it did not upgrade properly. Now when I unlock my phone I get the following error "The application My Verizon Mobile (process com.vzw.hss.myverizon) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." The only option I get is to do a "Force Close". Is there a way to uninstall and reinstall the app? If not and I need to do a hard reset will I need to remove the memory card to protect the data? What would happen to all the apps that I have installed, will they need to be reinstalled or would they be protected?
Thanks in advance from an Android newbie (but I do love the phone and the o/s!)

Shut down and restart seems to work for most people.

Was there a particular number you called or just the regular contact us number?

I'm having the same problem, and it is very annoying. I've tried re-doing the upgrade, uninstalling the upgrade and re-doing the upgrade, re-booting, etc. Verizon needs to solve this problem. I guess my next step is a call to Verizon Support.

If I could, I would just uninstall the "My Verizon" app and do away with it. Unfortunitly, you can't uninstall it. Hummm, wonder why????

TekDragon,
Hi there!
Please go to http://mobile.vzw.com/VCASTApps from your phone's browser and complete the download there. We are aware of My Verizon mobile app concerns and are addressing them. The above link had the correct update in it and it is case sensitive.
Thank you!

AdamE_VZW - I am having the same problem on my Incredible 2 as the original poster. I tried your link but downloading the VCASTApps center doesn't do me any good. I don't need to find more apps to install. Could you provide a link to upgrade/fix the My Verizon Mobile app?
Is there a way to uninstall the My Verizon Mobile app, and re-install? Because when I launch it right now I'm in an endless loop: It opens and says it needs an Update, takes you to Android Market listing for it, then you can only Open or Uninstall Update... which doesn't do a thing!
Any options and help here appreciated... thanks
