Upgrade from BB Curve to Moto Droid

I am contimplating upgrading from my BB Curve to the Moto Droid.  I was wondering if there is someway for me to transfer my contacts from the BB to the Droid as well as my calendar appointments or will this all have to be done manually?

Also, one of my main reasons for the BB is the ability to have my next few appointments viewable on my home screen.  Is this an option with the Droid?

I've been reading some of the reviews on the Droid & so many people are having problems with it~freezing up, not being able to go between apps very well, not knowing how to easily end a phone call etc.  But I don't really see the same problems listed on this site.  Could all the problems be user error?

I understand there is always a learning curve with all new phones & I honestly don't have patience or tolerance for **bleep** problems~like freezing up & having to reboot by taking the battery out blah blah blah.  Has anyone here had the same problems?  Could it be as easy as downloading an upgrade or something?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Jen

One thing u will hear a lot here is: There's an app for that No doubt u will find an app for what u are looking for and if not suggest it to a developer who makes an app close to what u want. I have seen developers credit users for their suggestions. If u check past posts regarding force closes and battery pulls, u will notice that those users problems might resemble those users of other phones. These are electronic devices made with components made by humans. So there will always be problems. It just comes down to where u normally buy ur phones and their track record on providing u the best phone possible. I always get my phones from a nearby Best Buy and I have never had a problem. It is simply the luck of the draw, as u probably already know. Good luck in ur choic. THIS MESSAGE BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE GOOD PEOPLE OF BUY MORE. Kidding.

As a BES Admin I thought there were no other comparable devices out on the market for Email integration to Exchange.  Then I got a Droid to test.  I will never go back to a BB and I have had them all (the last 10 years worth)!  I love this device, I couldn't stop playing with it for two weeks.  I will say that the email (other than gmail) was not the best compared to BES/BB.  I purchased Touchdown ($9) from the Market and it makes up for the lack of native Exchange support.  Great device!
