I have a Blackberry 9530 and I really hate the dropped calls, the freezing and time outs....it's infuriating. My contract is up 1/8/11. I would like to upgrade now but don't want to pay the extra bucks to get the new phone. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

If your phone is still under warranty see if they will replace the phone.

The original Droid is $40 at walmart on a new contract (probably free on amazon.com).

You can also purchase a certified phone at http://support.vzw.com/information/cpo_replacement.html

January is still a ways to go. I doubt you'll be getting the phone at discount price and would have to pay full price for the phone.You could always purchase the phone else where besides from Verizon directly
