Is it possible? Yes, but I'm afraid you will be paying full retail price. You haven't had your current phone long enough to qualify for any upgrade discounts.
You can upgrade any secondary line if the primary is up for its 1 year renewal. It's basically swapping the upgrade. The primary line is eligible for a new every 2, but yearly as long as the family plan is at least $49 or something. I just found this out myself.
If your primary isn't up for its 1 year renewal, then you may be outta luck.
I found out today that verizon no longer has a VIP program as of 02/10
