Tried using the VZN for the first time on the droid x this past weekend. It would not work, it would not show a updated location and when I hit navigate it would reboot. I’ve used vzn on other phone have not had any issues. I had service and the google maps worked (that worked out for me) does anyone know why it is doing this?
Thanks,
John

What's wrong with using the free Google Navigation?

In all honesty, VZN should just provide NAV as a Free App for the cost/requirement of the SmartPhone plan of $29.95/mo. Too many people are jumping on the Google Maps app. ..
Verizon -- maybe think about a 1-time fee of like $25 ??? It's a nice mapping tool with other cool features (I've used it), but I can now NOT justify the additional $10/mo. when Google Maps does basically the same thing. You need to rethink this.

I had the VZW navigation on my Droid X. I personally found that the free google navigation was alot better and easier. With my VZW nav, it was draining more battery, and it wasnt as accurate as the Google maps nav, I would personally stick with the free one also because it's included in your data package and is more accurate.
Hope this helped!!!!
