VZ Navigator

I currently use the Navigator (not VZ Navigator)  I think it is through google maps as a gps.  I really like it but the one thing I really dislike is that I can't delete any of the addresses after I have entered them, nor can I put a business name with the address.   Some of the addresses were entered wrong, or I don't need them any longer and would like to delete them but I cannot.

Does anyone  have VZ Navigator?  If so - does it allow you to put business names with the address and to delete any address you no longer need?  Also - we have the unlimited data package from Verizon -- do you know if there is an additional feel to use VZ Navigator?  Whenever I try to load it it says the download might be charges according to your data plan.

@EmsMom, VZ Navigator is a paid app. You will be charged 9.99 a month for using it. I personally don't use it so can't help you with the specific problem you are having. FYI, Google Maps with Navigation is the free navigation app that comes with the Incredible. It has been the best so far. Ever since I got my phone I have rarely used anything else for navigation and directions.

Are you able to delete any addresses from Google Maps, with Navigation?   I'm thrilled with having Google Maps Navigation - my sense of direction is horrible  LOL   Just wishing I could delete old addresses I only needed once, etc.

@EmsMom, There are two options:

Option 1: Native to Android: NOTE: This option removes ALL user specific history and settings for MAPS. Use this if you want to revert Google Maps to the state which it was in since the last update.

• Select Menu--> Settings
• Select Applications--> Manage Applications
• Select the "All" Tab
• Scroll down until you see Maps. Select Maps
• Click on "Clear Data" button and OK to confirm

Option 2: Using an App called "HistoryEraser" from the market. Author: DUMAPIC.

• Download and install the "HistoryEraser" App from the Market.
• Open the app. Click on "Google apps" button and select the option "GoogleMap search histories". Click OK

That should do it! I would go with Option 2. You can use HistoryEraser to clear other kinds of search histories too! Just DON'T use it to clear your call logs or Contacts!!!

yeah...google's navigation is actually still the beta (testing) version i believe. this has been a complaint of MANY users and aside from nimiaj's suggestions, i don't believ you can delete specific searches/address from the google app itself.

Thank you nimiaj for your help. At this time, there is no way to delete addresses listed in Recent Destinations for Google Maps. Outside of using the options above, the last option would be to uninstall/reinstalling the app. VZ Navigator does allow you to delete old addresses by doing a long hold touch on the address.

Ummm...what is a long hold touch on the address?  I have a hundred addresses to delete and can't find them now.  I have the latest version of VZ Navigator and hate it!

Is there a concern with privacy using google?
