I think I accidentally downloaded VZNavigator onto my Incredible... The little compass thing is now showing at the top of my phone. I don't want the 9.95/month charge... how do I get it off?

No I highly doubt you added the subscription, you would have to agree to Vcast.
From the main screen, click MENU>SETTINGS>LOCATION you will see 911 check marked and grayed out. That is the compass.
if you click the options below it toggles the half circles for the GPS. Which I do keep on. Otherwise you would have to turn them on to use the map or Google Navigation, which is free. I do not check mark the box for Verizon to have access to my location.

Navigator is a permanent program loaded in ROM it can not be removed. However to use it, you would have to AGREE to pay for the program.
The compass in the notification bar shows whether location is turned on or off. If it is just a compass then only 911 can pinpoint your location. If there are 3 half circles to the right of the compass that means you are broadcasting your location.
Click here and go to page 26, you will see the definitions of the icons. See if it is there.

So are you saying that I shouldn't be getting charged the monthly fee as long as I don't actually use it and "agree" to the fee? Thank you for your help.
