VZW nor Samsung care

I think we all have to face it that neither VZW nor Samsung care about the Charge. I have written my share of opinions to both and not one response. No explanation at all as to why the Charge has not received an update. Let alone why we are going to be two updates behind. They only care about how much money they will make off of newer phones.
I have been went with VZW for almost 20 years and the total lack of customer care continues to baffle me. I'm guessing they never read these forums or they would know how we feel. I for one am done with them. Until consumers start standing their ground and stop chasing the next new fancy phone this behavior will continue.
Just very sad in my opinion. How much money have we all spent to try and better our phones? Add in the time that we have wasted. Combine that and what do we have? More frustration than I care to deal with. Maybe one day the two companies will "get it."
