The only thing that concerns me about the Beats feature is that Monster stop manufacturing the headsets for HTC and the only way to get Beats supported headsets you have to go 3rd party and I am unsure who manufactures headsets that can compare to the original product...

I actually use the Equalizer app from the market and in my opinion it works better than the original Beats feature.

Check out new video I added to 1st post...

Let's just hope it's not riddled with battery killing bloatware like my original DINC.  City ID, anyone?  Looking forward to getting my hands on this one.

It will have the ICS which allows you to disable all the bloatware that comes along with it. I am running ICS on the Rezound and I was able to disable all those bloatware apps except Visual Voicemal...damn Visual Voicemail lol

I don't understand why Verizon feels the need to put their design spin on everything.  They take something as beautiful as the HTC One series, combine some of the internals, and then ruin it all with an ugly exterior design.  Verizon, I get that you want to distinguish your brand, but come on...and lets not kid ourselves, this is a mid-range android phone at best.  Why is it so impossible to get a high end Android phone?  Did you learn nothing from passing on the galaxy s2?  And before you answer, I know you like plugging how "superior" your network is, but what's the point if you don't offer the phones people want?

One of the reasons carriers have habit of branding their units is intended to be for identification because usually the device is released on multiple carriers and the only thing that makes the device stand out is the custom branding...

I am not a fan of this but basically this but without this custom branding it will be easy to brick a device by flasing any updates.

Another reason for this is walking advertising, if a user see something that one device has that another dont, this can sway a customers decision sometimes.

I can certainly appreciate the need to differentiate one's phone for the reasons you list, but couldn't we get something a bit more classy?  These are high end electronics after all.  More often than not these phones come out looking like they were designed by a schizophrenic high school student who also suffers from A.D.D.  I can understand that the brand in this case is supposed to be edgy and futuristic, but those aesthetics can certainly be captured in a more elegant way.  Good design is all about subtlety, not by screaming "look at me, look at me!".  The Incredible 4g is certainly not the most egregious example of this, but it flirts with it.  I'm willing to concede that aesthetic taste is an entirely subjective thing, but again that is why choice is so crucial.  By branding all of your mid/high end Android phones in this manner you completely alienate people who don't necessarily like that particular look.

I agree some devices could use some refining...

The only thing is that under some markets young adults are the saling demographics and the developers usually create to their largest customer base, more adults have moved over to the smartphone as their primary device but adults are not prone to go for a indecisive compulsive purchase like this where the younger crowd will buy a newly released device simply because it is new.

Since there is a number of replacement home lanchers, widgets and application to modify any device to look like another and 85% - 90% of users are not using the stock UI on a device, I am really hoping to see a untouched version of Android come back to light.

this isn't their version of the One series. this is a lower end, smaller htc. i'm guessing (and really hoping) they'll get a version of the One series later on.

I've got a Samsung Omnia 2 that is on its last legs and was going to replace it with an HTC Rezound a few weeks ago.  When I was in the VZW store the rep told me about the Incredible 4G LTE and that it was smaller than the Rezound.  The size of the Rezound was the biggest negative for me - man that thing is huge.  So I've been waiting and waiting for the new Incredible to actually make it into the store but no luck.  Is there any reliable date of when we can actually buy one?
