Verizon Service Disruption

Does anyone know of any service disruption in Columbus, Ohio?  Before you ask, bill is paid in full.  Phone continues to say searching for service and if it does show 3G with bars, I try to make a call, the bars disappear and it will not connect.  Sent email to customer service but does anyone know of any issues?

Actually, re-reading that, you might try the now-hated battery pull, or at worst, a factory restore. Also, try a PRL update (dial *228, option 2) before you resort to a restore. If that doesn't, might need to take it in for examination.

Maybe you're being affected by the 45,000 Verizon workers that are out on strike.

I believe the strike situation affects landline service, at least for the time being.

Right after I established service with Verizon Wireless, the tower near my house, which was shared with AT&T, funnily enough, whom I had just left. It was 3 days being repaired. Not a promising start, but it's been fine ever since.

So service disruptions do happen.

just on the news, only wireless. landline & fibre optic affected.

It does affect wireless? I thought the strike only affected landlines, fiber makes sense too. That's not good.

Great suggestions Gerio!

 

I understand how frustrating it is getting no signal on your device. I would be glad to look into this for you. There are no known outages in Columbus, Oh at this time for Verizon Wireless. Did any of Gerio's suggestions work for you? When did  this start happening? Is is only at one location? If other devices are working and your is not we may need to further troubleshoot to determine what caused this issue. Always poor service on the westside Columbus Ohio ... steer clear of here, they know about it and continue to do nothing... FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB. THAT MAY HELP
