Just got a Samsung Charge a few days ago so I am very new to Android. My question is concerning emails in the Gmail app. When I recieve an email that has a lot of graphics (HTML), the Gmail app does not resize the email to fit the screen. An example of an email that has this problem would be daily emails from Newegg or TigerDirect or any other email with large graphics. So, I can only see 1/4 of the email. I have to move around to see the entire email. And, it will not let me resize the screen to see the entire width of the email.
How can this be? The Gmail app on the iPhone automatically resizes the email to the width of the screen! Isn't Android and Gmail the same company? I can't beleive their own email app works better on the Iphone than on their own operating system. Please tell me there is a way to fix this...if not, this phone may be going back.

I noticed that too. I swore the global 2 resizes of had the option in settings.
I have to use the web based to rezize since the browser does it but the app doesn't.
However GIngerbread does. We need that aofficial update and its while off still.

Thank you for your inquiry. I understand why it is important to have your emails fit to the screen in Gmail. I checked settings for this phone and another Android and do not see a setting to change emails to fit to screen. I am not sure if the next software will allow this change or not. In the meantime, you can also login to Gmail from your browser and even set a shortcut to access Gmail directly from your home screen. Through the browser, you do have the option to view the site in the Mobile version or full desktop version.
