Does anyone know if there is a way to make the keyboard larger when it appears on the touch screen? Can it be made to occupy the entire touch screen?
you could put the phone in the landscape position, click on the area that you will be typing and the virtual keyboard will appear.
or you could find an app for that.
there are numerous apps touting a better virtual keyboard, some free, some paid.

I kind of prefer the regular keyboard over another, especially since they allowed multi-touch for it but, if I were to suggest one -- I did buy Better Keyboard, and it works pretty smoothly.
