I have Android 2.2. I am only able to use Voice Search. I press and hold the magnifying glass for the voice action, but if I say "Text to Jim Hello" I get a Google search on "Text to Jim Hello" rather than a text to Jim saying "Hello."
I would be glad to help. Do you have any voice applications downloaded like vlingo? If so please remove and retest.
