Hi folks, it's been great looking at all the post and answers that have been given on all those issues.I was wondering if I am the only one to have this issue but when I have a voice message the phone screen blinks it goes out then comes back on...when the operator says enter you passcode I have to wait for the screen to come back on the try and type my code in before the screen goes blank again. Is there a setting for this part or is it just my phone? Everything else works just fine and I have no major complaints about the phone.
Thanks for all of your help in the matter

cc12,
Try to make your Voicemail connection automatic.
From the home screen go to Settings>Call Settings and click on the second item down Voicemail. Voice mail number will come up so click on it. Next a dialer screen should come up. You should enter *86, (yes that's a comma) and your password. For example, it could look like this when you are done. *86,76543
Sometimes two commas are required and in my example the 76543 would have been the password.
One other point, to get the comma (which is really a pause) that follows the *86 go to a new dialer screen by pressing the key that shows the characters ?#+ You'll see the word PAUSE on one of the keys. NOTE: each time you press the pause key it will insert a comma.
To get back to the original dialer screen press the key that now says 123 and enter your voicemail password following the comma (pause). That's it.
From here just go back to the home screen and try it by pressing the ICON Voicemail.. It sure makes it easy to check your voicemail.

Sounds like the screen is fuction correctlym any time the phone is placed near face the phone is suppose the black out to avoid accidental button press.
The part about the screen blinking when you get a message sounds like a 3rd party app that I used a while back but I cant remember what the apps name was, are you using any apps that controls notifications?

cc12-You have asked a very good question!
Calling your voice mail from your cell phone is NOT airtime free.
You can however, call from another phone (landline) to access the voicemail without using airtime minutes.
Retrieve voicemail messages from a land line phone.
- Dial the 10-digit mobile phone number.
- When the system greeting starts to play press # to interrupt the greeting.
- Follow the prompts to enter your password and retrieve your messages.
I hope I was able to address your concerns!
