Is there someway to bypass entering the security code when you call your voicemail from the cell phone?

Yes, by changing the phone number.  You need to add a pause (a comma) and then your security code.  So for example, the voice mail number becomes, 800-555-555,1234.  A comma adds a 3 second pause allowing the voice mail to pick up.  You may need to add a second pause (comma).

The only problem I've found is that it doesn't seem to work consistently and I don't know why.

Select “Menu.” 2. Choose “Settings.” 3. Choose “Call” or “Call Settings.” 4. Choose “Voicemail Service.” 5. Select “My Carrier.” 6. Choose “Voicemail Settings.” 7. Tap “Voicemail Number.” 8.
