Have you set up any accounts? If not, that's the first step. Open the apps drawer and tap on "my accounts." Open it and you will see "add account." Next you will see several icons, tap on "Email" Then follow the instructions as they pop up. You probably will need your POP and your SMTP information.
If you had set up accounts, check to see if the ports are correct.
