When i call someone or they call me, i can not hear them through the earpiece, but they can hear me.

When i call someone or they call me, i can not hear them through the earpiece, but they can hear me.
Also, if i put it on speaker phone, i can hear them just fine.
What's wrong?
P.S. I dropped it in the snow a little bit on accident, but barely. Could that be why?

Sounds like a connection issue with the speaker in the earpiece. This could have been caused by moisture, or your phone could just be getting old. My wife's droid just recently had to be replaced because the charger port stopped working and she couldn't charge her phone.

I have the same problem. I've had the phone over a year. It just started this yesterday. Anyone have a suggestion?

Kate58, when your having issues with the audio on your device, it may be different reasons this is occurring. I have listed some steps to to attempt in resolving your issue. If you continue to have this issue, a hands on evaluation may be needed to determine if your having an equipment issue or if your phone is damage (physical or water). You can visit a corporate store in your area to have an agent evaluate your phone.
The first step is to perform a soft reset. Instructions are below:
- Power your phone off. This is typically done by holding down the red End button.
- Once you have confirmed that the phone is off, power the device back on.
To update the PRL:
- Power on the phone within the Verizon Wireless coverage area.
- Dial *228 then press SEND (this call is airtime free and may take up to 2 minutes).
- When prompted, press 2 for the option to update the PRL.
- Once completed, a confirmation message will appear to informing that the phone has been re-programmed with the new PRL.
- Press End to terminate the call.
- Power cycle the phone to complete the update.
