Why can't I add my outlook.com address as a 2nd personal email account?

I am trying to add a 2nd personal email account, but it's not working. When I go into Settings, to Email, to 'Add Account', I'm asked to fill in the account details. When I enter the address and password, some other details like 'Server' and 'Port' are autofilled - correctly, I assume. When I hit 'Next', I'm asked to select an account type - POP3, IMAP or Exchange. Outlook.com addresses should work with either POP or IMAP, but no matter which option I choose, I get an error message as follows:

POP3 & IMAP - "Couldn't Finish / Can't connect to server"

Exchange - "Couldn't Finish / Username or password incorrect"

Never mind.  I found the outlook app and it corrected the problem

MarnieOld, we appreciated your efforts. We're stepping in to help with adding that second email address. Is this a work or personal email account? Is it a aol, yahoo, gmail, verizon.net etc..?
