Why is Droid MIni having Samsung Network Extender Problems?

I have exactly the same problem on my Droid Mini. Do any Verizon techs monitor this site?  What do I do to justify paying Verizon $65/month when they don't provide service?

You deserve to have the service you're paying for. We're concerned to hear about your Droid Mini not working with the Network extender. What color are the LED indicators on your extender? Have other devices been working while near the extender?

All lights are blue. The extender occasionally loses the satellite (GPS

light is either red or blinking blue) but I don't see why that should

affect performance other than the E911 possibly giving the wrong location.

#48 returns the correct message, i.e., that the phone is on the extender,

but the signal strength and "generational capability" on the phone varies.

Sometimes it's 1G, sometimes 3G. Sometimes the signal strength is 5 bars,

other times 1 or no bars. Sometimes the person on the other end says I'm

breaking up while the phone's reception is fine. Sometimes the connection

is maintained; other times I lose the connection every few minutes. It's

simply UNRELIABLE!

Network extenders are great to have because they are like a mini indoor tower so getting your extender back on track is a must.  How long ago did the trouble begin with the replacement extender?  Also, have there been any recent changes to your phone?

Actually, it's never worked that well. The phone indicator varies from 1G

to 3G (never 4G) at random with no seeming correlation with how far the

phone is from "my very own tower." The same is true for signal strength

which can vary from nothing to 5 bars with no apparent correlation with my

distance from the extender. It makes one feel that it's really not working

as it should. I had been having trouble maintaining contact with the

satellite (GPS light blinking blue or going magenta) but this doesn't seem

to correlate with performance. As far as I can tell the satellite

connection is only necessary to deliver accurate location when using E911

so whether or not satellite contact is maintained shouldn't really affect

performance. (I assume once contact is originally made, the extender logs

in its current location anyway. Am I correct in this assumption? If not,

it's a stupidly designed box.) In any event, I've recently moved the box to

a location where contact with the satellite is maintained but the system

doesn't work notably better. Comments? Have to leave for an hour or two

but I'll check in when I return.

I regret to see the Network Extender has not worked well for  you since you got it. you should certainly have an improvement with the call quality with this equipment.

Now that the extender has been moved, I'm curious to know if you notice a difference.

It's only been a few days since it was moved. As far as I can tell, once

established, I rarely if ever lose the satellite but the phone "lost

service" 3 times in 15 minutes when it was in a room 15 to 20 feet from the

extender. That doesn't seem like adequate coverage.

I will investigate the link you sent tomorrow but probably not until the

late afternoon.
