WiFI phone service

We live in an area where we have absolutely NO cell phone coverage.  My question is, if I can connect to a WiFi connection, will I then be able to make phone calls from my Droid X?

You would be able to make Skype calls, but not cell calls.

That is incorrect, Skype on the Droid X functions over 3G cell network only.

Have U Tried a Mobile Extender From Verizon Since U cant get Coverage  U might check with Verizon an ask if one can work for U they're set Up Now were they Work for Both Voice an Data so see if that Helps: Now using a Router it works for sending Data as i use one myself because like on Video an such it goes a little faster But it to has some limitations like when i Tried to Order or pay for madden 11: i tryed using the Wi-Fi it wouldnt let it Go Thru. So I went back to the network it worked. So Give Verizon a Call There tech Services or go to your local store an see if a extender will work for ya  An Good Luck To Ya.
