Hi,
I have a wireless router and two access points in my house with the same SSID and security configured. The problem is that when I'm roaming throughout my house, the Charge will not automatically connect to a stronger access point when the signal of the one I'm currently connected to becomes very weak. I've done extensive searching on this issue and have gone so far as to replace my wireless hardware with those of the same make/model to no avail. Does anyone know a solution?
Thanks!

First thing change one of the routers SSID. There if no benefit of having them the same and besides it will cause a connection conflict just as you have already noticed. Thats almost as bad as setting two PCs to the same ip address.
If you are having network reception being weak it is easier to just buy a wifi extender for your router..

I am running 2 extenders in my house and the Charge seems to hand off just fine. My router is in the basement and the 2 extenders are both on the main floor. I still have good signal on the 2nd floor and get 8+ MBPS.
I would give that a try if you can.

Sorry to inform you that I have worked IT enough to know that configuring a wireless network in the method that you are doing isn't the most effective way to accomplish your goal but if its works for you that's fine by me but it just seems, like the nature of you issues..
Oh well, each to its own..

I have tried using different SSIDs, turning off wireless security totally, and it still would not handoff to the stronger wireless signal. I have also had a wireless extender before I bought my access points and the Charge would still not handoff properly. Any other suggestions?
Thanks

I'm fairly certain it is a limitation of the Droid Charge(my current device). My wife has the HTC Thunderbolt and her father has a Droid X. They roam between our access points just fine. All of our laptops are seamless as well. Both of us previously had the Motorola Droid which has the same issue.
I'm using two routers running DD-WRT. Same SSID/Security.
CH1 - Netgear WNDR3700 v2 >> DD-WRT v24-sp2 (06/14/11) std - build 17201
CH6 - Linksys E4200 >> DD-WRT v24-sp2 (06/14/11) big - build 17201
Here are some links. We are not alone...

Do you have each router set to a different channel?
