Will VZW stores get models of the Droid X before release date?

Just wondering if the stores will have models available before the phone is released.  Thinking of preordering but concerned about size and would like to get a feel for the phone before ordering.

you could always go to a sprint store and check out the evo. it's close to the same size.

They will probably do like they did when I went to go see the Incredible, if they don't have a working model then they'll have the mock up to show you what the size is compared to the Droid, Incredible, and Blackberry.

It is actually not like the EVO.  The EVO is much wider where the DROID X is longer.  It has been said by some that the DROID X is more comfortable to hold for most people.  If it is like the other phones then yes they will get them before the launch and no they won't have them on display before the launch.  BestBuy might have a mock up about a week or so before launch but probably not on display.   You can ask them if you can see it and usually they will show it to you.

Good question.  I was wondering this myself.  The stores in my area still don't have the Droid Increadible in stock yet, so I'm very doubtful they'll have any Droid X's prior to Christmas.  Nothing is more frustrating than being teased with advertisement and not being able to get your hands on one.  Seems like by the time they arrive in stores the next improved model is being advertised.  It's an endless cycle of frustration. :smileymad:

That really is a great question!!! I would love to see even a Mock up of the X!! I thought about getting the original Droid but when I went in, it was just way to bulky for me. I do know the X is suppose to be way slim but I still worry about how big it will be!!!

I am really sick of my BB Curve but I have a hard time moving to a bigger phone!! LOL
