Just got a Bionic, first smart phone. Steep learning curve. Thought computers were supposed to make life easier! Anyway, lots of questions. (There wil be more to come, so thanks in advance to anyone willing to respond.) BTW The Verizon "manual" sucks -- had to call tech support (they are good) to learn how to set up speed dial.
Top of list, how do you delete Bookmarks? Seems to be no way in the popup menus.
Second, why do apps appear and disappear with each charging cycle? Every time I charge this thing (usually with power on) I wake it up to discover some new app I could care less about has bumped one I do care about off one of the home screens.
Third, why is this thing so touchy when I use it with charger plugged in.? It has crashed and I have had to reboot it several times because of that. It acts like it's possessed -- maybe it is....
And on, and on, and on. I'm about ready to throw this thing in the lake and go back to cans and a string. Please help!

Speed Dial - DROID BIONIC by Motorola
- From a Home screen, select the App menu (located in the lower right).
- Select Dialer.
If the application icon is missing, select App menu filter (located at the top) then select All apps.
- From the Dialer tab, select Menu.
- Select Speed dial setup.
- Select the speed dial number.
- Select the contact.

1. Open Browser
2. Menu (Far Left Button) / Bookmarks
3. Press and hold on bookmark you want to remove
4. Select Delete from list.

The device works of a file cache method which means ir clears the history data and rebuild the data list to guarantee the list of updated with the correct information that reflects apps installed.
Third, why is this thing so touchy when I use it with charger plugged in.? It has crashed and I have had to reboot it several times because of that. It acts like it's possessed -- maybe it is....
There has been apps that cause this on the Droid X but I don't remember what apps, also it could be possible that the charger may have issues... Take it to store and have them check device and charger.

It just sounds like you may be just adjusting to new technology because a Smartphone isnt the same as each device, you may need to adjust to the learning curve...

Thanks for the reply and advice. I am posting this also to say that a couple of days ago I called Verizon tech support when at my wit's end with the way the Bionic was behaving. The last straw was when it would not download/open a simple jpg image attached to a text message sent to me.
The tech support woman, whose name I unfortunately did not write down, was immensely patient and helpful. It finally turned out after a lot of testing that we had to reload the software after saving contacts, etc. via the backup assistant. Once this was done, the phone started behaving as it should have from day one -- no more jumping from screen to random screen, no more unpredictable button responses, proper mail handling, better battery life. And I now actually get a green light when a notification is waiting!
Moral of the story is that these things evidently are being shipped with buggy installed software and that it could be if other forum members are experiencing these kinds of problems, perhaps they should try thr reinstall process. Fairly painless altho you will have to reaquire any apps you may have downloaded. Suggest you work with tech support on the process.
Only remaining problem is screwy behavior when plugged into the charger. So I'll get that looked into.
