I need assistance from verizon tech or motorola. i did not get a satisfactory answer from my local verizon store so now asking here.
before i chose this phone i viewed and compared phone specs from many phones. i needed one with long battery life without spending $300 for the newest droid max. the specs on the verizon website state (i believe they get them from motorola), up to 28 hours talk and up to 14 days standby. well i am charging this thing every two days with extremely light use. I think i have a total of not more that 40 min talk and probably same time for internet browsing over the past week. when i talked to the managers, they stated that you cannot believe the specs and one manager even said that the 14 day number is the phone on but not connected to the cell network. REALLY...... they were actually very complimentary of the phone for lasting 2 days. funny how they did not mention this shortness of typical battery life when i was looking at the phones....
my question is can this be true or do i have a legit issue with this phone. by the way, i have disabled the gps, the wifi and set the display to battery save mode with it going off after 15 seconds.
what makes this even funnier is that i chose this over an iphone 5 that my wife got at the same time. per the specs my phone should be way better than hers in battery life. but in reality, hers is many times better in battery performance than mine with similar use.
We understand the need of a long lasting battery, hollycrapola! The standard usage time on the device is 28 hours. Considering that it is a smartphone, functions of the device may be running in the background. If you are looking for a longer battery life, we recommend a charging pad that you may want to set your phone on. Go to vzw.com/accessories to view the different models compatible with your device.
