I cannot see through the screen.  I have cleaned the lens but can't get a clear view of what I want to shoot. My husband's works fine.  I can see what we are looking at.  Have I messed up the settings so my screen does not show the picture I will take?

Is it possible that maybe your camera settings were changed to macro? That would make things that are distant look out of focus. I would check your settings first. Good luck.

Sounds like your mechanical shutter may be close, please turn over device to have camera up right, can you see the center circle of the camera or is it all clack which means the shutter may be stuck close..

Sorry, murphquest, you are having trouble with your camera on your DROID X by Motorola!  I am happy to assist.

 

Have you had a chance to try the steps suggested by the other Community members?  You can find the camera settings for your device here.
