cannot retrieve the notifications - Facebook moto droid

is anyone else having the same issue? my facebook was working fine. then it started yesterday, i cannot refresh my notifications. get an error - cannot retrieve the notifications. please try again later. 601/ parser error. everything else on the FB app works. my wife is having the same issue (she has the same phone)

I just started getting this error today too I just tried again, and it still does the 601/ parser error thing. Maybe it'll be fixed soon..

I find the facebook bookmark on the browser (touch.facebook.com) works better though!

thanks. I just tried the touch.facebook.com. i never knew about that. works pretty good, but my notifications are a few hours behind, but its better then getting an error message.

It appears that this is pretty much a global problem with Facebook for Android, and evidently it's something that Facebook changed on there end.  Right now, the best way to get your FB notifications is to set up email or SMS notifications. IMO
