Can I charge the Driod X using the USB cable connected to the computer or does it only charge off the wall charger?

You can charge it with the usb with a computer but the charge will take longer because it is a weaker voltage

If you are below about 15% battery capacity your phone will not charge from the USB port. Also if you have it plugged into a computer and use it extensively it will still draw down your battery because the USB charge isn't able to keep up with the power drain.

i wait until i get the warning before recharging and see the 15% or less a lot and try not to use the phone while it's charging, whether usb or wall charger.
yeah i guess if you use the phone while it's charging it's an uphill battle but no different than using the wall charger and using the phone at the same time.
motorola faq's say it should charge in 3 hours. it'll take 2 hours to get it to 100%, from "15% or less" with the wall charger.
