color pics???????

ok, i have had this going on for  a week now , when i send someone a color pic, they get it as black and white!!!  no clue ??? i tried sending a black and white pic and it was black and white lol

Hello inkstruck77,

 

Thank you for sharing this issue with the community. I agree with Wildman on this being a unique issue. May I ask what carrier does the receiver of the picture belongs to? Also, what type of device do you have? As post previously, try sending the exact same picture to yourself and see if you receive it in black & white. 

 

Have you checked the phone setting in the Droid X? Here are some steps below.

 

Launch the camera app.

Check your Effects to ensure that it is not set to black & white. (I recommend Normal)

Turn the flash off (Sometimes the flash can blur the colors the picture)

If you are testing the device in the daytime then try changing the Scenes to Landscape to complement the sunlight. 

 

Once you have verified and changed these setting, take a new picture and try to send it to the same recipient. If the results are still the same then feel free to send me a private message with your name, your mobile number, and a summary of the results after the changes above.

What is more likely? Wildman NOT having the answer, or an earthquake on the East Coast?

Up until yesterday, I would have said an earthquake.

Alas, he is human. And a very smart one at that.
