connection failed and phone freezing

I have had the incredible for a couple of weeks now but the last couple of days I have received a message stating "connection failed" when I try to check e-mail or the internet.  The phone also has frozen a few times while I am on the internet.  I have to take the battery out each time to get it started again.  Anyone else having these problems?

You using a task killer? Try disabling that if you do, pull battery, reboot. You may also want to try to *228 reprogram local antenna coverage.

Nope - not using any kind of task killer.  I am pulling the battery.  Just wondering if this is the norm for this phone since I've only had it for a couple of weeks.  It's aggravating.

You try to clear all history and cache on the browser? Just for giggles try another app for browsing like Opera Mini and see if you have connection issues. What's your connection? 3g or WiFi? If both try one or the other to see if you are getting bad reception.

My connection is 3G and I have cleared all history and cache.  I had a problem last week with the phone randomly shutting down and restarting by itself, went to Verizon and they replaced the battery.  I like the phone, but not happy that I am having so many issues right at the beginning.

I'd take it back and see if you can swap it. The rebooting thing is not a good sign. Take it back and demand a new swap. Tell them the battery didn't fix the reboot problem. You'll get a new one.
